Become a Crisis Line Volunteer!

Do you want to make a difference, all while gaining valuable skills and making new connections?

As a crisis line volunteer you’ll provide confidential phone support to callers. After extensive training, you’ll provide support by listening, managing crisis situations, ensuring the caller is safe and providing the appropriate information about Distress Centre programs as well as refer them to services in the community.

Volunteering at Distress Centre is a life-changing (and sometimes life-saving!) experience.

Shifts take place on-site at our office, located at Suite 500, 999 8th Street SW.
