Lend An Ear 2018 took place on September 20th, 2018. For our 8th annual fundraiser, we tried a new format, hosting an evening event instead of a breakfast.
Crescent Point Energy donated the stunning venue. Peasant Cheese catered the evening. New Level Brewing donated delicious local beer for our guests to enjoy.
Thank you to the speakers and musician who made up our program with their inspirational stories, jokes and music. Our keynote speaker, Lee Horbachewski shared her personal story of suffering from postpartum depression in 2004, which led her to call our crisis line. She credits the call with saving her life and is now a self-stated life-long supporter of Distress Centre.
Jim Ryan, a monthly donor, shared his personal reasons for supporting Distress Centre. Dominik Diamond, from JACK 96.9 FM emceed the evening, and Bebe Buckskin entertained our guests with beautiful music.

And finally, a huge thank you our guests who purchased tickets, bid on the silent auction and made donations. Your support allows us to continue to provide 24 hour support to Calgarians in distress, and we are so grateful for it.
